HEALING BEGINS WITH  TRUTH

What is ACSRI?

The Aligning Community Systems for Resilience Initiative (ACSRI) is the name given to our model for bringing together all stakeholders in all sectors of the Clayton County community to prevent adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and trauma.

What are ACEs?

ACES are potentially traumatic experiences that occur during childhood (0-17years) that have a lasting impact on our growth and development. Examples of ACES include experiencing violence, witnessing violence in our home or community, abuse or neglect.

What is Trauma?

"Trauma" is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape or natural disaster. Trauma can be found in many forms in our community, and exposure to trauma can have longstanding effects on our our lives.
